HISENSE

Hisense lançou o smartphone Hi Reader Pro com tela E-Ink

Hi Reader Pro: with E-Ink panel and Snapdragon 662 mobile chipset is now available in the Chinese market

The Chinese company Hisense today presented a new smartphone in China. This is a device called Hi Reader Pro. The Hisense Hi Reader Pro has already gone on sale in China for US$246.

The electronic circuit of the device is built on the Snapdragon 662 mobile chipset. The novelty is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. The Android 11 operating system with a proprietary add-on is used as the software platform.

Hisense Hi Reader Pro is equipped with a 6.1-inch E-Ink screen with a pixel density of 300 pixels per inch. Dedicated ES9318 DAC provides quality sound. The phone received stereo speakers, a pair of microphones and supports Aptx, AAC, SBC, LDAC formats.

A 4000 mAh battery is responsible for powering the gadget. The novelty weighs 183 grams.

Interestingly the company is also branding this phone as the “pro” model of the Hi Reader eBook reading device that launched earlier this year. Don’t ask me why. The two devices have different displays, processors, and wireless capabilities. And the Pro model makes phone calls and connects to 4G LTE networks, while the non-Pro model does not. They seem more like different categories of devices rather than two versions of the same device.
