Phantom X2 Pro: First smartphone with a movable camera lens

The quality of smartphone digital cameras is already quite comparable to budget compact cameras, and some high-end phones surpass them. The quality of photos captured by smartphones will certainly improve even more in 2023, thanks to the innovative company Tecno.

The Tecno company was the first in the world to put on sale the first smartphone with a mobile main camera. When the main camera is not in use, it is safely “stored” in the phone's case. During use, however, it moves outwards, thus ensuring better quality photo capture. With this, smart phones have effectively acquired an interesting solution, which can be imitated by other manufacturers later on. It should also be noted that the new system guarantees waterproofing and that the mobile phone is automatically “stored” in the bag in case of a fall, which is certainly welcome.

The main image sensor of the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro smartphone is equipped with an image sensor with a resolution of 50 million pixels. The rest of the hardware isn't new either. This includes the Dimensity 9000 mobile processor, 12 gigabytes of system memory and 256 gigabytes of data storage space.

The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro smartphone also has an OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.8 inches or 17.3 centimeters and a refresh rate of 120 hertz. The highlight is the battery with a capacity of 5.1260 milliamps-hour with fast charging system (45 watts). In the internal memory we find the Android 12 operating system with the HiOS 12 graphical interface. And the price? Unfortunately, the novelty is not cheap, as it is on sale for an estimated 880 euros.
