DM160: Brand new OLED monochrome monitor costs $4,500

Flanders Scientific has introduced a new DM160 OLED 16-inch monochrome monitor, which weighs 2.6 kg and has a power consumption of 17 W.

The DM160 OLED is a lightweight, high-contrast OLED display designed for monitoring, color correcting and editing content, including during live broadcasts.

The monitor is equipped with a 15.6-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080, 10-bit (1.073 billion colors) and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. It uses an OLED RGB panel with a brightness of 400 nits.

The DM160 features 2 BNC 3Gbps/Dual-Link/HD/SD-SDI inputs and 2 BNC outputs for a second monitor. There is the possibility of screen mirroring, LUT application and other usual functions for such devices.

The third-generation FSI Color Fidelity and LUT Interpolation Engine (CFE3) system contains a variety of calibrations and Look LUT memory for highly accurate color rendering and efficient color space management. You can instantly choose between Rec709 (not full gamut), EBU, SMPTE-C, DCI P3, Rec2020 emulation, native wide gamut, and user-generated custom colors.

Additional gamma, maximum brightness, and color temperature switches further enhance the versatility of the DM series monitors.

The monitor's features are supported by some software, including FSI's DM Series IP Remote Utility, Pomfort's Livegrade Pro, QTake's Grade Module, and Assimilate Live Assist and Live Looks.

DM series monitors are also equipped with the world's first Waveform and Vectorcope function, which is transmitted in real time directly from the monitor to the computer without the use of additional equipment.

3rd generation Focus Assist highlights focus areas with color tracing. The sensitivity of the focus assist function can be adjusted using the H POS rotary knob.

The Flanders Scientific 16" DM160 OLED monitor is available for purchase now for $4,500.
