10th generation iPad fails durability test
The author of the legendary YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, Zach Nelson, tested the 10th generation iPad, which Apple presented at the end of October.
Recall that the most affordable iPad of the 10th generation received a full-scale redesign with flat edges, a Touch ID scanner on the power button, a USB-C port, a front camera to the right of the screen, stereo speakers and much more
For his experiments, Nelson chose a pink iPad. In the blogger's scratch test using the Mohs hardness scale, screen damage started to show at level 6.
The aluminum case is not protected from scratches – the author of the video even managed to sculpt the protagonist of the game Kirby on the back of the tablet.
The screen coped with warming up perfectly – a few seconds after the appearance of a black spot from the lighter flame, the screen returned to normal.
Unfortunately, the new iPad didn't pass the bending test. The tablet literally bent in half. Probably, the weak point of the new iPad was the location of the connectors for connecting the keyboard and two batteries under the screen.
Interestingly, the case is full of empty space that Apple could use for better speakers or magnets.
