After the American company Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 single-chip system, the Chinese IT giant Xiaomi announced the upcoming announcement of the world's first smartphone based on this mobile chipset. Xiaomi 13 will receive a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, combining a super-powerful Cortex-X3 core at a frequency of 3.2 GHz, two Cortex-A715 cores at a frequency of 2.8 GHz, two Cortex-A710 cores at a frequency of 2.8 GHz, three Cortex-A510 cores at a frequency of 2 GHz and an Adreno 740 video accelerator.
The smartphone screen will provide 2K resolution and the power supply will be rated for 120-watt wired charging. The insider also mentions the main module of the rear camera based on a 50 MP Sony IMX8 sensor with optical stabilization function.
According to the first leaks, the Chinese manufacturer decided to ditch curved screens in favor of flat screens. At the same time, the screen size will be slightly larger than that of the previous generation flagships. In particular, Xiaomi's base model will receive a 6.36-inch display, while the Xiaomi 12 had a 6.28-inch display. A battery with a capacity of 4500 to 5000 mAh (depending on the model) will be responsible for supplying power.
