MERCURY SYSTEMS

Mercury introduziu chips DDR4 resistentes à radiação para tecnologia espacial

Company announced its new radiation-resistant DDR4 memory microchips

Mercury Systems announced the creation of new DDR4 memory microchips designed to operate in the harshest environments. They can be manned and unmanned spacecraft, satellites for various purposes, including military, aviation equipment, etc.

It is observed that as the space industry develops, requirements for on-board computing systems are growing. And this, in particular, generates the need for high-density RAM modules. These are the products that Mercury announced.

The new DDR4-2666 chips have a capacity of 8 GB. The microchips are radiation resistant and the operating temperature range extends from -55 to +125 °C. The packaging dimensions are 13×20×≤2.36 mm. Memory undergoes extensive testing to ensure reliability and durability. The chips are manufactured in a facility accredited by DMEA (Defense Microelectronics Activity), a US Department of Defense laboratory.

Mercury's new 8GB DDR4 modules offer up to 75% space savings over alternative memory options. "Mercury's memory modules are designed to operate in the most demanding environments and are used in mission-critical systems in the air, land and marine industries," said Mercury vice president and general manager.
