Pixel 7 Pro is still difficult to maintain

Earlier this week, Google officially unveiled the new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. Although it has been a short time since then, the first videos with new devices have already appeared on the internet, including videos with disassembling devices. On YouTube channel PBKReviews, a blogger took apart the Pixel 7 Pro to see how easy it is to fix the device. It turned out that in terms of maintenance, the new flagship is not much different from its predecessor.

Like the previous generation model, the new Pixel 7 Pro is equipped with a display that connects to the motherboard with a single cable. The design uses more screws and accessing some internal components has become more difficult. It was also found that the back cover is so tightly connected to the frame of the box that the blogger was unable to detach it. Although the battery has recesses to remove it from the case, it won't be possible to do this without isopropyl alcohol as it is glued.

Please note that the blogger has not verified whether fingerprint scanner calibration procedure is necessary after screen replacement. In last year's Pixel 6 Pro, this nuance was present. Overall, for maintenance, the Pixel 7 Pro received a score of 5.5 points out of 10 from the channel authors. A year earlier, the Pixel 6 Pro was tagged by similarly rated bloggers.
