Disney+ na PlayStation 5 recebe finalmente suporte para a resolução 4K HDR

Disney+ for PlayStation 5 gets support for 4K and HDR content playback

The Disney+ streaming platform for PlayStation 5 has received a new update that has arrived with support for playing 4K and HDR content. And for those who don't know, the Sony console could only reproduce in FullHD quality (1080p).

"A key part of our global expansion strategy is serving consumers wherever they are, which is why we're excited to improve Disney+, and Star+, for PlayStation 5 users," said Jerrell Jimerson, Product Executive and design for streaming. "The ability to support 4K HDR video streaming on the platform will also improve fans' viewing experience."

It was about time, as platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ have been offering this support on PlayStation 5 for some time now. Disney+ is therefore far behind at this level. It's also surprising to learn that the service offers 4K on other platforms. The group does not specify why there has been so much delay with Sony's consoles.

You can download the new version of the Disney+ application from the multimedia section of the PlayStation 5 home screen. Latin American residents can also download the Star+ application, which in other markets is within the Disney+ application.

For those who have the PlayStation 4 Pro, nothing changes and the maximum remains the Full HD resolution.
