Honor lança smartphone Play 40 Plus 5G a partir de US$ 165

Play 40 Plus 5G: the newest gadget of the low-cost brand

Honor launched the budget smartphone Play 40 Plus 5G in China with a powerful 6000mAh battery and an affordable price. The battery provides up to 23 hours of video playback, but only supports 22.5W charging.

The Play 40 Plus 5G has a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD screen (1600 × 720 pixels, 260 ppi pixel density) with a 90Hz refresh rate. A teardrop notch at the top of the display houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

On the back of the smartphone is a dual camera with a 50-megapixel main module with an f/1.8 aperture, complemented by a 2-megapixel sensor to determine the depth of the scene.

The Play 40 Plus 5G is based on a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz, a Mali-G57 MC2 graphics accelerator and a 5G modem. The amount of RAM is 6 or 8 GB, the capacity of the flash drive is 128 or 256 GB.

The smartphone comes pre-installed with the Android 12 operating system with a proprietary Magic UI 6.1 shell. The device's specs also include a fingerprint scanner on the side lock button, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless adapters, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The thickness of the smartphone case is 8.27 mm, weight - 196 g. The novelty is available in four colors - black, silver, blue and purple.

The cost of the Play 40 Plus 5G version with 6GB RAM and 128GB flash drive is 1199 yuan ($165). The smartphone version with 8/128 GB of memory will cost 1399 yuan (US$195). The model with 8/256 GB of memory is priced at 1,599 yuan (US$220).
