APPLE
Apple's supply chain representatives have confirmed previously leaked rumors that Apple will indeed add a periscope telephoto lens to the iPhone 15 smartphone series.
According to industry rumors, Apple has been developing its own periscope module for the past few years and now the company is ready to introduce it in the next generation of its smartphones.
Largan is the leading lens supplier for the iPhone. The company's president, Lin Enping, said that next year it will be difficult to launch new models that will have to be readjusted. Compared to traditional telephoto lenses, the new lenses will have glass lenses and prisms, and the price will be relatively high.
Lin Enping added that this is the first time this manufacturer has used a periscope module - this also points to Apple. It is also reported that in this module it was decided to abandon plastic lenses and use a hybrid design.
According to IT House, Apple makes extremely high demands on the image quality of the new smartphone. For this, Largan has already acquired new equipment and is also actively developing the Flare noise reduction technology, which will be fundamental in the periscope lens of the iPhone 15.
Presumably, the periscope module will be used on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra models.
