APPLE

iPhone 15 Pro pode perder botões físicos - eles serão substituídos por sensíveis ao toque com vibração

iPhone 15 Pro may have touch-sensitive buttons

Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple product forecasting analyst, says that next-generation iPhone Pro models can replace the physical volume and power buttons with touch-sensitive buttons with haptic feedback.

According to Kuo, they will be structurally similar to the home button used on the iPhone 7, 8 and the latest SE, which provides feedback using Taptic Engine vibrations to simulate button presses. We can also talk about trackpads, similar to those used on Mac models - they are also based on touch technologies.

This will require additional Taptic Engine modules to what is already used in modern iPhones - they can be placed inside the case in the upper left and upper right corners. According to Kuo, thanks to this, the number of modules in each smartphone in the lineup will go from one to three.

According to some reports, Apple was already planning to use something similar in smartwatches to increase their water resistance - rumors about this went back to 2018, but this model never appeared. It remains to be seen what this design might give the new iPhone 15 Pro - perhaps that will only complicate the design.

According to Kuo, the buttonless design and the transition to USB Type-C (the latter already confirmed by Apple) will be the two main changes in the upcoming iPhone Pro models. While Kuo's predictions often come true, new product launches are nearly a year away, during which much could change.
