Today, ZTE Mobile officially introduced the new ZTE Axon 30S smartphone, equipped with a 16MP under-screen camera. However, it is offered at a price of just $235. This is the only phone with an under-display camera in this price range.
According to the official press release, the ZTE Axon 30S uses a new generation of under-display camera technology, which increases the density to 400 pixels per inch in the front camera area.
In addition, the smartphone is equipped with an independent UDC Pro chip, which is responsible for ensuring that the brightness and color reproduction of the screen in the front camera area matches the rest of the screen. ZTE Axon 30S is also equipped with Lingtong 2.0 algorithm, which optimizes the image in low light conditions, intelligently eliminates glare and improves photo quality.
The ZTE Axon 30S uses a 6.92-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a macro camera and a depth sensor. The battery capacity is 4200mAh and it supports 55W wired fast charging.
In May of this year, ZTE launched the flagship Axon 40 series. The top model ZTE Axon40 Ultra received a new third-generation under-display camera technology. After the presentation of the iPhone 14 Pro, ZTE stated that the Axon40 Ultra has "no islands, cutouts, holes or fringes". It offers a huge screen with a small bezel with no extraneous elements.
