Google announces new feature to block annoying YouTubers

Google Discover is expanding with a feature that has been missing for a long time. The Discover (Discovery) interface, which can be used in the Google Chrome mobile browser and Google's dedicated app, can easily divert the unsuspecting user from its original purpose as it offers a personalized selection that lists potentially interesting content on the Internet.

However, the discovery tab sometimes tends to provide completely irrelevant suggestions, including videos from YouTubers we don't want to spend our time on. Until now, the only way to avoid this type of content was to completely block YouTube recommendations, but recently the situation has changed.

In the latest version of the Google app, you can now block individual YouTube channels, so you don't have to give up videos on the platform completely if you want to get rid of the work of an annoying influencer. To do this, simply click the “…” button on the recommendation cards and then choose to block the YouTuber in question.

Those who are not interested in videos can still disable YouTube recommendations and we can also filter by the topic of the videos. The new options are available in the Android and iOS versions of the Google app.
