Intel and Broadcom will hold a joint presentation where they will demonstrate data transmission within the standard Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) at a speed of more than 5 Gbps. To do so, they will use a Dell laptop and a Broadcom hotspot with Wi-Fi 7 chips.
As noted, the new communication standard will allow the use of wireless VR listening phones, as it will provide high bandwidth and low latency. At the same time, it is argued that the speed can be increased even more. The use of Wi-Fi 7 will also be useful for high-quality video streaming, as the new standard will be able to stream video in resolutions up to 16K. Finally, you should remove uploads on mass Wi-Fi networks.
The technical plan states about the use of 320 MHz channels, not licensed spectrum of 6 GHz and new modulation technology. At the same time, the certification of the standard has not yet been carried out, it is expected that this will happen next year, and the commercial versions of two devices will appear in 2024.
