Yuka 2

Yuka: the French app that helps you eat healthier

Are you in the store and still don't understand the labels? Launch the Yuka app on your smartphone, scan the product barcode and you will get a product quality score from 0 to 100 with lots of information (presence of allergens, etc.).

The Yuka app was born in 2016 during the Food Hackathon where the project came first. Initially, it was intended to become a connected object to eventually become a smartphone app. The team emphasizes that the project is 100% independent, without brand influence, without the presence of advertising and responsible financing that guarantees the absence of conflict of interest.

The purpose of the application is therefore to scan food or cosmetic product labels to assess their quality. The scale ranges from 0 to 100, with 100 being the best score. After analysis, the application also indicates the possible presence of additives, if the product is too salty or too greasy, for example. For cosmetics, the app indicates whether there are any endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, allergens or irritants.

Once the application is installed, just scan the barcode and you will have the answer very quickly. Here are some examples of three products.
