How HyperCharge charging technology works

Xiaomi has been pushing the limits of technology to deliver a leading battery and charging experience, HyperCharge. Faster charging speed and greater battery capacity are often a multiple choice question for engineers. In a compact space, taking the Xiaomi 11T Pro as an example, it is not only equipped with a 120W fast charge, but also a 5000mAh battery.

To achieve this milestone, Xiaomi uses a combination of a new charging structure, application of graphene in Li-ion batteries and 3 combined technologies: MTW battery technology, MI-FC charging technology and LiquidCool technology.

The relationship between voltage and current is adjusted to improve load power. Dual charge pumps adjust voltage and amperage to achieve a perfect balance, reducing voltage and increasing amperage to overcome conventional voltage limitations and allow for more power.

As a single battery is limited, the two-cell battery structure doubles the available input. On the Xiaomi 11T Pro, for example, the typical battery capacity is 5000mAh. The battery is divided into two 2500mAh cell structures. We also use better thermal control with a higher current input.

MTW (Multi Tab Winding) is a new battery technology that improves current flow to the battery. The MTW features multiple anodes and cathode separators to allow for a shorter current path, lower internal resistance and better thermal control with a higher current input.

This technology is the ultimate charging experience with efficient and consistent high energy production. Conventionally, the charging speed significantly decreases as the battery approaches 100%. Mi-FC prolongs high current time and supports real-time cell current and voltage monitoring. As a result, this significantly reduces loading time.

Using "graphene-based lithium-ion" technology, the Xiaomi 11T Pro's batteries have higher conductivity than traditional batteries.

Xiaomi uses additional security measures in HyperCharge to ensure there are no compromises in battery life. With LiquidCool technology, heat dissipation is fast so charging is always efficient.

Xiaomi has 34 safety features for battery charging, covering the entire charging cycle from the charger, through the circuit, to the battery. In addition, the nine thermal sensors monitor the temperature in real time, ensuring that charging is always safe.

Xiaomi continues to focus on ensuring optimal battery life for safer and more durable batteries. The battery is built with high temperature charging protection, high temperature discharging protection and double overcharge protection.

The circuit features USB input over voltage protection, USB input over current protection and USB input over voltage protection. The charger has short circuit protection, overcurrent protection and overvoltage protection.

With 120W Xiaomi hypercharge technology, you can enjoy complete professional device protection.
