SanDisk has released the SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE USB 3.2 Gen 2 series of external hard drives with capacities ranging from 4TB to 22TB.
All drives are based on traditional 7200 rpm Ultrastar enterprise-class HDDs. The new drives offer advertised read and write speeds of 250 Mb/s to 280 Mb/s depending on capacity. Versions are available for 4, 6, 12, 18 and 22 TB.
The housing of the drives is made of anodized aluminum, which in theory should reduce their heating. At the same time, the units can be combined together in clusters if the need arises. External hard drives are equipped with a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 at 10 Gbps interface.
