Confirmed: S23 Ultra will feature a 200MP camera
Several reports have revealed details about the South Korean tech giant's upcoming device. Now it's Galaxy S23 UltraNew reports have been published about the camera. These reports claim that it will be Samsung's first phone with a 200-megapixel camera. Samsung Electronics Mobile Experience has confirmed that the S23 Ultra will feature a 200-megapixel camera.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, which is due to be released to the global market on September 8, will come with a 200-megapixel camera. The upcoming Xiaomi 12T Pro is also expected to have a 200-megapixel camera. Both devices will be equipped with a Samsung ISOCELL HP1 main snapper. There is widespread speculation that the S23 Ultra will not have the HP1 sensor. Instead, the device may be equipped with an unannounced ISOCELL HP2 sensor. Reports claim it will be accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel periscope zoom lens with 10x optical zoom.
According to rumors, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which will likely be made official in November this year. It looks like the South Korean company won't make an S23 Ultra with an Exynos chip.
The device is said to come with a 5,000mAh battery, which will likely support 45W fast charging. For selfies, the 40-megapixel autofocus front camera offered on the Galaxy S22 Ultra will likely remain. A new report has revealed that the S23 Ultra's ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will have a larger scanning area than before.
