Studio Midnight Society releases trailer for its new first-person PvP shooter, Deaddrop
Studio Midnight Society, which was founded by popular streamer Dr Disrespect (Herschel Beam IV), has announced the name of the previously announced PvP first-person shooter – Deaddrop. At the same time, videos of the first gameplay of users who purchased NFTs began to appear on YouTube.
The released gameplay footage is part of Midnight Society's plan to involve the community in the development of the project. Users who purchase the Founders Access Pass (in the form of NFTs) have access to a production version of Deaddrop. As the studio explained, players will be able to guide the team and voice their opinion on the sniper, including testing the reload time and range recoil model, as well as participating in the first PvP battles.
The Midnight Society also stated that it intends to partner with select influencers and then work closely with them to launch the game of their dreams.
In addition to Dr. Disrespect, Midnight Society leadership includes studio head Robert Bowling and creative director Quinn DelHoyo. Known as fourzerotwo in the Call of Duty community, Bowling was a former creative strategist and community manager for Infinity Ward. Delhoyo has spent the past nine years at 343 Industries, where he was the lead designer of the Halo Infinite sandbox.
