NINTENDO

The world did not see, and does not see, with good eyes the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, and this seems to be worrying the world population, whether governments, authorities, companies, and even individuals. If we take Russia out of the equation, there should be no one who will look favorably on this invasion.
In the 2022 plan, no one could imagine that one nation could invade another, in the style of the conquerors, and above all, that civilians would be killed... among them innocent children. So the world had to intervene, and the big tech groups are applying sanctions against Russia.
The most recent is Nintendo, which has now put the eShop in Russia in maintenance mode, which means that there, they will no longer be able to make any purchases from the company's store. And what could be considered sanctions by Nintendo, on the one hand, seems to have more of an economic aspect, as the underlying payment service is no longer usable as before:
Due to the fact that the payment service used by Nintendo eShop stopped processing payments in rubles, Nintendo eShop in Russia temporarily entered maintenance mode. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will keep you informed as the situation develops.
That is, Nintendo took advantage of the fact that the Ruble was no longer accepted, to put the store in maintenance mode... which I believe will remain so for a long time.
