KARA PURE

Company creates an atmospheric water extractor that transforms air conditioning air into mineral water

There are times when water that comes out of the tap, despite being drinkable, may not have the best possible flavor and properties, especially in summer. Therefore, some consumers directly choose to drink and use bottled water for everyday cooking.

This entails a significant financial expense at the end of the month and the use of hundreds of plastic bottles every year that must be recycled...Well, the curious Kara Pure device, a type of atmospheric water extractor with dimensions of 107x22x40 cm that promises to supply us with everything we might need in a single day.

Or at least if we require less than 10 liters in 24 hours, the maximum amount the device is capable of extracting from the surrounding air through a condensing process with a heat exchange cycle similar to that of dehumidifiers. The end result is pure water with a pH of 9.2+ after going through a remineralization process, since the water initially obtained is distilled and does not contain added minerals.

To do this, after a filtration process that removes potential pollutant particles, the team adds seven essential minerals: calcium, magnesium, lithium, zinc, selenium, strontium and metasilic acid, using a mineralization system that must be replaced annually along with the filter of water (the air filter can be cleaned with a vacuum or tap).

After storing the water captured from the air in a tank, the dispenser performs an Ultraviolet Light Disinfection process that promises to eliminate possible bacteria and biological contaminants every 4 hours, so that we can safely drink the water.

In addition to obtaining water, it can also be used as an environmental dehumidifier, with a system that detects air humidity to maintain a value that is located around 25%.

Kara Pure is still immersed in a financing process on Indiegogo, but its creators hope to start shipping units from June this year for a price that will be around 1,147 euros.
