Glasses Ray-Ban can now send, receive and view messages on Facebook Messenger

The Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses received a software update that allows the device to send, receive and view messages on Facebook Messenger, according to a post published Wednesday by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. He said this is only a small part of what the device will be able to offer users in the future.

Zuckerberg said Ray-Ban Stories owners will be able to use the glasses' built-in microphones, speakers and voice assistant to send and read messages and make audio calls using Facebook Messenger. He also promised that in 2022 a series of updates for the device will be released that will bring new features.

The addition of Facebook Messenger integration makes the Ray-Ban Stories a much more useful device than it was at the time of launch. Initially, the glasses allowed you to take pictures or videos, and could also function as wireless headphones with a voice assistant.

In addition to the Messenger integration, the glasses will receive other, less significant improvements with the latest software update. Zuckerberg said users will now be able to adjust the sound volume and control music playback over the built-in speakers with their voice, if for some reason they don't like using the touch panel built into the eyeglasses temples Image
