Company announces first batch of industrial exoskeletons

Rostec State Corporation announced that the Rosseti Group has received the first batch of RT – Trusted Platforms industrial exoskeletons from the Republic of Kazakhstan for testing in power installations in the Leningrad region. Exoskeletons will be checked when clearing clearings, grounding overhead power lines, and carrying heavy loads. Trials will end in the first quarter of 2022, after which a decision will be made about future use.

The ProEXO exoskeleton family was launched in September of last year. They are modular solutions for a wide variety of physical activities. In general, development allows you to protect the health of workers during heavy physical exertion, as well as when working with bulky equipment or in a confined space. It is argued that, thanks to the exoskeleton, the employee will feel the charge half as much.

''When lifting a load on this type of equipment, the specialist feels only half the weight. The exoskeleton uses composite materials and 3D printed parts. The samples have already been tested under realistic conditions. Now the implementation and pilot testing stage is underway, based on the results of which decisions will be made on project sizing,'' said Oleg Yevtushenko, CEO of State Corporation

In particular, a batch of exoskeletons will be used at two branches of Rosseti Lenenergo: Cable Network and Gatchina Electric Networks. Field tests can help you understand the feasibility of using these tools, test best practice scenarios, and provide feedback for product improvement.
