Brand launches low-cost smartphone line with UNISOC chip
Those days are gone. when Philips was known for its high-end cell phones. However, smartphones are still produced under the Dutch brand, although their development and production has been transferred to China. One such device is the Philips PH1 introduced today, which is affordable and has a very spacious battery.
The device is based on the cost-effective 12nm UNISOC Tiger T310 platform, which combines a quad-core processor with a 2GHz Cortex-A75 and three Cortex-A53 cores, as well as IMG PowerVR GT7200 graphics. The chipset works in conjunction with 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity can be 32, 64 or 128 GB.
Philips PH1 is equipped with a 6.5 inch IPS matrix with HD+ resolution. At the top of the screen is a teardrop shaped notch for the front camera. The main camera of the novelty is composed of two sensors – the main one, with a resolution of 13 megapixels, and a depth sensor of 2 megapixels.
Philips has equipped an ultra-economical smartphone with a modern USB Type-C connector. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone uses a 4700 mAh battery, which, however, does not support fast charging.The Philips PH1 starts at just $78 for a model with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The modification with 128GB of permanent memory will cost $120. The smartphone is available in black, blue and red.
