NVIDIA
Brand introduces new chip for laptops
After the release of the RTX 2060 12GB on desktops, Nvidia has just officially unveiled a return to the previous generation on the RTX 2050 laptop chip. It also adds lower entry-level MX570 and MX550 chips to the current Ampere series.
The RTX 2050 will be Nvidia's lowest beam tracking chip, still offering RT cores and AI Tensor cores, and will offer beam tracking, DLSS and broadcast support. A powerful Nvidia encoder and support for the Reflex feature were also added. At the same time, the RTX 2050 is optimized for Nvidia Optimus technology, which guarantees long battery life and great performance in the notebook.
The GeForce MX570 is the most powerful of the MX notebook chips to date, offering more energy-efficient CUDA cores and higher memory speeds than previous versions. It offers faster video editing and photo editing and even faster gaming.
The MX550, on the other hand, is the successor to the MX450 series, with additional CUDA cores and similarly faster memory. It also guarantees decent performance in games and programs.
We'll see laptops with these chips in the spring. Companies will report them around CES 2022 now.
