AMLOGIC
Brand Announces Processor for Automotive Equipment
Amlogic has announced the V901D processor for on-board automotive equipment such as infotainment, digital panels and more.
The product combines four Arm Cortex-A55 compute cores and an Arm Mali-G31 MP2 graphics unit. It supports working with DDR3 / 4 and LPDDR3 / 4 RAM, as well as eMMC 5.0 and SLC NAND flash drives.
The processor includes the NPU Artificial Intelligence Accelerator that delivers up to 1 trillion operations per second (TOPS). Supports 1080p30 H.264 video encoding and 4Kp60 AV1 / H.265 / VP9 P-2 / AVS2 4Kp30 H.264 decoding.
The chip is equipped with a 12-nanometer fabrication technology. Three HDMI 2.1 inputs are available for connecting on-board cameras, USB 3.0 and PCIe Gen 2 interfaces. In addition, there is a Gigabit Ethernet network controller.
AEC-Q100 grade 3 certification is mentioned. Unfortunately, there is no information on the emergence of Amlogic V901D-based systems in the commercial automotive market.
