The game Battle Cry of Freedom, which portrays the American Civil War, will be available in March 2022

The developers of the Napoleonic Wars add-on for Mount & Blade: Warband are in the final stages of production on Battle Cry of Freedom, a first- and third-person action game set in the American Civil War. Studio Flying Squirrel Entertainment has been working on this project for nearly 10 years, and the featured trailer allows you to assess the scale of the work done.

Players in Battle Cry of Freedom will have the opportunity to change the history of the war (or simply repeat it) by choosing either Confederate or Union side first. Up to 300 players will be able to participate in online battles, each of which will receive a company of soldiers under the control of the AI.

In terms of available weapons, Battle Cry of Freedom will offer the following:

70 types of ammunition;

20 pieces of artillery;

120 weapons including pistols, muskets, sabers and more.

The game will be equipped with a realistic projectile behavior model that takes into account not only rifling speed and pitch, but also humidity, temperature, air density, gravity, wind direction and strength.

Each of the 20 artillery pieces has a unique set of resources and the weapons can be loaded with different types of projectiles.
