3 new macOS Monterey features that were missing

1. Fast Image Conversion...The macOS developers have built an extremely useful photo conversion engine into the system. You don't need to launch any applications or use third-party programs to do this.

Just call the context menu of the desired file and select the Quick Actions – Convert Image… section In the menu that opens, you can specify the format of the finished photo, the compression level and disable the transfer of metadata of the original image.

Currently, there are only three image formats available: JPG, PNG and HEIF.

2. Menu bar in full screen mode...It is strange that previously on Mac it was not possible to permanently display the menu bar when starting applications in full screen mode. On large screens, saving a line of text is not that relevant, but you can constantly see the time, required indicators, or system indicators.

It seems that customization only became possible after the demo of the new MacBook Pro with bangs.

To disable menubar hiding, go to Settings – Menubar and Dock and uncheck Hide / show menubar automatically in full screen mode. It's great that the function works separately from the automatically hidden menu bar in normal operation.

3. Change the video display speed...One of the most interesting features of macOS is the fast file browsing by “space” key has become even more convenient. Now, while viewing the videos, you can change the playback speed. Previously, this required opening the file in a third-party installed player.

The function is now hidden behind an arrow icon in the lower right corner. You can slow down or speed up video playback in half. A similar option is now available in the default Quick Weather video player.

Remember these features and share them with other Apple computer users.
