The wireless connection with Android Auto available in Russia

According to online sources, Google has expanded its support for the wireless sync function of smartphones customized with Android Auto. According to the updated support documentation, Russian users can now connect wirelessly to Google's automotive system.
Keep in mind that the ability to sync smartphones wirelessly with Android Auto was added by the developers about two years ago. However, this feature is exclusive to Google Pixel smartphones and some Samsung Galaxy models. In addition, the official documentation states that the wireless connection with Android Auto is not compatible with Russia and Japan.
Google announced last month that wireless support will be available to all users with Android 11 smartphones and, more recently, the documentation has been updated to no longer mention that the feature is not supported in Russia. If changes to the document were not made in error, Russian users will soon be able to sync their smartphones with Android Auto wirelessly, refusing to use a USB cable.
As in other countries in the world, in Russia the function is relevant for a limited number of smartphones. We are talking about Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices, which run Android 10, as well as Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 + and Galaxy Note 8 based on Android Pie (9.0). In the future, this will include smartphones with the Android 11 operating system, due out this month.
