IronWolf Pro 18 TB HDD and IronWolf 125 SSD updated

Seagate Technology has unveiled the new Iron Wolf and IronWolf Pro series discs. We have already written about the next IronWolf Pro 18 TB HDD model, now it has been officially announced. The IronWolf series was designed for use on NAS and has dedicated AgileArray firmware that should improve disk life.
The 18 TB drive uses industry-standard CMR recording technology, has good data transfer rates of up to 250 MB / s, and has a WRL (workload limit) of 300 TB per year. The basic warranty period is 5 years.



The new Iron Wolf and IronWolf Pro 125 Series SSDs have a SATA interface and are designed for NAS operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. DWPD values ​​are 1 for IronWolf Pro and 0.7 for Iron Wolf, respectively. The SSD has data protection against power failure and the optional IronWolf Health Management software (compatible with Synology NAS, Qnap and Asustor) helps users to control the performance and life of the SSD. The new SSDs are available in options from 240 GB to 4 TB.
All models of the IronWolf and IronWolf Pro units are now available for purchase in the Russian Federation.
