Brand Rumored to Release AirTags Tracking Device in October

According to new reports citing an unknown Chinese supplier, Apple will soon be releasing its long-awaited AirTags in an upcoming event that will take place in October, likely announcing the iPhone 12 at the same time.
Originally thought to be released earlier this year along with the 2020 iPhone SE model, sources believe that the AirTags were ultimately pulled from launch due to unforeseen circumstances, such as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The device has been suggested by various leaks as well as details hidden in both iOS 13 and 14, but the tech giant itself has never publicly announced it. Much like other GPS trackers on the market, the AirTags are designed to help locate items that you may have lost and reportedly look like mini discs that you can hook onto keychains and other accessories. Users simply have to tap into the Find My app, which utilizes a built-in U1 chip and ultra-wideband signals to find your tracking device. Rumors also suggest that there may be an accompanying augmented reality-style interface showing where in an environment your AirTags are.
