South Korea already working to develop 6G network in 2026

The South Korean government has defined a strategy for the development of sixth generation (6G) mobile technologies, which will replace 5G networks, which, in fact, have only just begun to spread across the planet.
The theoretical transfer rate for 5G services, we recall, is stated at the 20 Gbps level. So far, however, these speeds are unattainable in practice. 6G networks are expected to provide dozens of times faster speeds.
In particular, the maximum bandwidth is expected to be 1 Tbps, 50 times more than the top 5G bar. In this case, the delays will decrease by an order of magnitude.
South Korea intends to invest 200 billion won (local currency), or approximately 70 billion dollars, in research and development related to 6G technologies in the next five years from 2021. A 6G pilot project is scheduled to start in 2026 Five main areas of application have already been identified for it: digital health, including remote surgery; immersive content and holographic conference; autonomous vehicles, including flying cars; Smart cities; Smart factories.
South Korea intends to start marketing 6G networks in the 2028-2030 period. These services are expected to be available up to 10 km above the ground.
