HUAWEI

The company's most powerful processor arrives in a few months

Internet sources are reporting that Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei plans to launch the Kirin 1000 series mobile processors in a September 5 launch.
The named chips will become the “heart” of the main Huawei Mate 40 smartphones. The processors will be produced using 5 nanometer technology. The products will include ARM Cortex-A78 high-performance computing cores, as well as a 5G modem. The matrix area is supposed to be 113.31 mm2, and the number of transistors per 1 mm2 will be 171.3 million.
It is important to note that the IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung) exhibition of electronic products for consumers will be held in Berlin (Germany), from 3 to 5 September. Observers believe that the announcement of the Kirin 1000 series processors will take place within the framework of this event. These chips should compete with future solutions from Qualcomm Snapdragon and Samsung Exynos.
As for the smartphones mentioned above, the Huawei Mate 40, then this family will presumably include four models: the basic version of Mate 40 and its most efficient modification, Mate 40 Pro, as well as variants of the Mate 40 Pro Plus and Mate 40 Porsche Special Edition. Outside of China, it is rumored that these devices may come with MediaTek processors.
