DJI

Brand new stencil maker gets more efficient with magnetic support

DJI is about to announce a new smartphone gimbal called Osmo Mobile 4, but it will be abbreviated as OM 4. A short video posted on Twitter by Roland Quandt from WinFuture shows two new magnetic mounting mechanisms that allow you to quickly connect your smartphone to the strap is a very significant improvement in terms of convenience over the previous model.
The trailer looks convincing and means that, with the new Osmo, the company tried to resolve one of the biggest complaints from users about Osmo Mobile 3. Previously, you had to slide the smartphone into a special mount and secure it (which is not always convenient due to the buttons on the edges of the device).
Now the user can pre-fix the magnetic disk (using a vacuum suction cup or Velcro) or a similar clip on the back of the smartphone, after which the stabilizer can be connected quickly and easily thanks to the magnetic closure. WinFuture also posted some images of the two mounting options along with many other images of the stabilizer.

Most of the time, the trailer goes through the demonstration of the OM 4 software functions. This is the dynamic zoom, when the camera zooms while the operator moves away from the subject (Dolly zoom or “Zoom Hitchcock”); and gesture control; accelerated shooting; and automatic panoramas; and object tracking.
It is reported that Osmo Mobile 4 will be able to last up to 15 hours of battery life, being equipped with a 2,450 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C. WinFuture reports that Osmo Mobile 4 will be launched soon and will be priced at less than €150. Unfortunately, there is no new information about another DJI announcement - the Mavic 3 drone.
