VIVO

Brand starts to develop rotating display smartphone

China's National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) has published Vivo's patent documentation for a smartphone with an unusual design.
As you can see in the images, we are talking about the device in a classic version. On the sides, there will be physical control buttons on the bottom - a symmetrical Type C USB port and speaker grids.
A feature of the device is a swiveling lower section with a screen. The user can rotate it 180 degrees, activating either mode of operation.

For example, patent illustrations show that some information or, say, a virtual keyboard can be displayed at the bottom of the screen. In theory, this section can also function as a viewfinder when shooting self-portraits with the main camera. By the way, the latter, judging by the illustrations, will receive three optical modules, which will be aligned horizontally.
As for the front camera, it will be installed in an oblong hole in the center, in the upper area of the screen. It will include two sensors.
Unfortunately, while this is all the information about the mysterious device. Whether Vivo plans to create a commercial smartphone with the design described is unclear.
