Tinder receberá o suporte para chamadas em vídeo ainda em 2020
Tinder releases video chat for in-app dating

Video calling has arrived on Tinder. After announcing, in May this year, that it would make the tool available in the app in the second half of the year, Match, owner of the dating app, starts releasing the feature this Wednesday, 8, to users in some selected countries.
According to the company, to activate Videochat, users must follow a series of steps and settings, to preserve security and the choice of each person in the app: to chat by video, both users must have the option enabled in the profile. In addition, after the two people agree to participate in the call, they must also accept the usage rules established by the app. The call can also be disabled at any time by one of the users, even during the conversation.
Tinder said it conducted a survey in the United States with its users and that about half of them had already had a video match with an app match. According to Rory Kozoll, head of product security at Tinder, the tool wants to bring romance closer even in times of social detachment.
“Videochat prioritizes control so that our community feels more comfortable to take another step and take their conversations to this new stage when everyone feels it is the moment. We have built a solid foundation and we are sure that we will learn a lot from the test over the next few weeks ”.
For now, the tool is a test, and is available for USA, Brazil, Australia, Spain, Italy, France, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Peru and Chile. However, the company stated that it will use this period to evaluate the performance of the resource and may take Videochat to other countries soon.
