He also added that a battery malfunction can lead to a bloated battery. According to him, the battery connectors are not very reliable and can fail even with normal use of the device.
"This is a serious problem that affects Pixel 4 XL smartphones and I don't understand why Google doesn't support them properly," wrote Reddit.



It is unclear whether the battery is swollen due to defective contacts, but the fact that the rear panel may come loose has been confirmed by several photos of the Pixel 4 XL's owners.
It is also known that not all Pixel 4 XL owners are able to exchange a smartphone with a detachable back panel.
