Hackers use another method to steal cryptocurrencies in Russia

According to the Kommersant newspaper, another method of fraudulently receiving money from credulous Russians has been identified. Fraudsters receive transfers or the ability to write off user account amounts to confirm data, apparently to withdraw funds extracted. Users do not receive their own funds or refunds for account verification.
Information about a new type of fraud under the cryptocurrency mining slogan was provided to the source by Qrator Labs experts. On thematic sites, users are encouraged to rent computer power for a fee. The lower limit for withdrawing funds is usually set at around 10,000 rubles, and the internal counter shows how quickly you can make money from this service. For example, some websites promise to rent user resources up to 20,000 rubles an hour.
According to the terms of the lease of premises, to withdraw funds from the user to their accounts, it is necessary to transfer only 400 rubles to the fraudsters' accounts. It can also be considered as a commission for providing a service. Anticipating many thousands of mining, many are willing to risk the loss of four hundred. And they lose them with no return. In addition, if someone turns over account management to fraudsters, allegedly for crediting cryptocurrency funds, they risk losing all their own funds available there.
According to analysts, scammers are increasingly turning to social engineering to cheat users' funds. To reduce the risk of losses from these attacks and bring the perpetrators to justice, experts recommend using payment systems with reliable identification of the recipients of the funds.
