Crysis Remastered: more details on video

Before the next release of the Switch version of Crysis Remastered, Crytek broadcast a live 30-minute demo of the updated edition of its sci-fi game to the Nintendo hybrid console.
The half-hour broadcast was presented and commented on by Crytek's senior community manager, Janneke van Ooyen, and by Crysis Remastered development leader Steffen Halbig.
According to Halbig, the production of Crysis Remastered for all target platforms continued in parallel, until the authors decided, in the case of Nintendo Switch, to abandon lightning tracking software.
On the Nintendo Switch, the relaunch will feature dynamic resolution from 720p to 900p in stationary mode and 540 to 720p in portable mode. Halbig also promised good optimization.
Previously, developers confirmed the technical features of the Switch version of Crysis Remastered: vegetation physics, destructible environments, global voxel and dynamic lighting, rays of light and sun.
As for the notorious ray tracing technology, then, as Halbig said, it will be implemented not only on the PC, but also on the current generation's home consoles - PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Crysis Remastered is set to debut on July 23 this year on Nintendo Switch. Versions for other platforms will be released later: Crytek decided to postpone the release date after criticizing the remaster's screenshots that were published online in advance.
