Brand launches new shoes with carbon plates

New Balance launched, on Thursday (16), the FuelCell Training and Competition (or FuelCell TC), a sneaker developed by the American brand to "meet the needs of runners looking to improve their running performance in training and in short competitions a long distances ". When combining FuelCell technology with a carbon plate, the model aims to allow efficiency and speed in the strides.
According to New Balance, FuelCell TC was created using Data2Design technology, which uses data from runners that are applied to tennis. The model is an evolution of the FuelCell 5280, sneakers for short distances developed from data collected from Jenny Simpson, an American athlete who was champion of the 5th Avenue Mile in New York, and is sponsored by the brand.

The new model features a highly flexible carbon plate throughout the midsole, positioned in the middle of two layers of responsive FuelCell foam. The objective is for the two technologies to work together and thus offer greater dynamism and effectiveness in the return of energy in the past.
With an aerodynamic design, the upper was developed with Engineered Mesh material, light and breathable, which allows better ventilation of the feet during any journey. Finally, the FuelCell TC's rubber sole is inspired by the design of the track shoes, ensuring grip, traction and durability.
