Windows 10X will not work on dual screen devices
In October last year, Microsoft announced a completely new operating system, Windows 10X. The operating system, intended for devices with two screens, should debut on the Surface Neo laptop, which is expected later this year. However, Microsoft's plans have changed.
In May, Panos Panay, head of Microsoft's operating systems development division, said Windows 10X would be the first release for family single-screen computers. Today, the online edition of ZDNet reported that the first single-screen PCs with a new operating system will not appear on the market until spring 2021, and dual-screen devices are not to be expected until 2022. Interestingly, the official schedule Microsoft even says that Surface Neo will be released this year. The fact is that the company did not update the schedule after the first transfer of the device launch.

In addition, Windows Central's Zac Bowden said that Windows 10X will not yet receive support for Win32 applications. Instead, the system will use streaming applications on the Internet, which can hardly be considered a good alternative.
Either way, the launch of the first Windows 10X-based devices in the spring of 2021 will put everything in place when users themselves can appreciate the convenience and functionality of the new operating system.
