X50 Pro+ launched: a new camera flagship in the making?

Surprise, surprise. Vivo has announced a Pro+ edition of the X50, just as Huawei did with its P40 series. Featuring a Snapdragon 865, a new 50 MP camera sensor, and Google services, will the Vivo X50 Pro+ be the P30 Pro successor that the P40 Pro+ should have been?
The Vivo X50 series is upon us, of which the X50 Pro+ will be the cream of the crop. According to a leaked specification sheet, the X50 Pro+ will feature a Snapdragon 865 chipset, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Moreover, the device will include a 120 Hz OLED panel with HDR10+ certification. Underpinning those flagship components will be a 4,315 mAh battery, which will be capable of recharging at 44 W.
If that was not enough, then the X50 Pro+ will also include a new 50 MP sensor for its primary camera. Called the Samsung ISOCELL GN1, the 1/1.31" sensor has 1.2 μm-sized pixels and can use 4-in-1 pixel binning to deliver improved light sensitivity.
Separately, Sparrows News has leaked an official marketing video for the X50 Pro+. The video does not reveal much besides confirming the design of the device and that it will feature a Snapdragon 865 chipset.
However, you can catch the X50 series announcement on Weibo. The event will be presented in Chinese, for reference.
