The Handmaid’s Tale: Season 4 gets first teaser
The American platform Hulu released the first teaser for the fourth season of “The Handmaid’s Tale”. Although long (1m30), the video recycles many scenes from past seasons.
The tone, however, is new, intensifying and anticipating the confrontation between the forces of resistance, now led by June (Elizabeth Moss), and the oppressive system of Gilead, a machista-homophobic-religious government that materializes a world view of the extreme right current. "We're just getting started," warns June.
The video also confirms that the fourth season will only be released in 2021. Production of the new episodes had started in March, but was subsequently halted due to the progress of the coronavirus pandemic.
In addition, after three seasons with 13 episodes, the new phase has been reduced to 10 chapters.
