RICOH

Ricoh GR III
Brand Is Releasing a Limited GR III "Street" Edition

Ricoh has just announced a special edition GR III camera. A crowd-favorite digital camera amongst the street photographers around the world, Ricoh is celebrating that distinction with a new “Street” edition. The complete body of the camera comes painted in metallic-textured gray with a removable yellow ring. Not only does the paint job give the camera extra grip for those quick-draw shots, but the color combination is directly inspired by the shades of grey in asphalt and the yellow traffic paint of city streets.
On top of the cosmetic upgrades, the GR III Street will come with a special edition GV-2 viewfinder, a black lens ring (when you need to be more subtle), and a leather hand strap. The camera also has a special loading and shut-down screen that depicts a macro shot of a paved street.

Performance-wise, the GR III Street receives Full Press Snap capabilities where focusing and shooting can be controlled by the touch screen. Processing the images is Ricoh’s GR Engine 6 combined with a 24.2 M APS-C size anti-aliasing filterless image sensor. Combined with enhanced image stabilization, low noise ISO (maximum ISO 102,400), wireless transfer, 14-bit RAW recording, and lightning-fast autofocusing, this is one camera that’s sure to make it into a lot of street photographers’ kit.
Those interested can head over to Ricoh’s pre-order site where it is set to launch in mid-July for a price of $1,199 USD.
