Spencer: We will show the hardware benefits of Xbox Series X and exclusive games

Microsoft gaming chief Phil Spencer recently attended the Gamelab 2020 conference. In an interview with New York Times journalist Seth Schiesel, the Xbox chief discussed several topics at once, but the main one, of course, was related to the next release of the new game. Xbox Series X consoles.
Spencer praised the recent presentation of the PlayStation 5, which showed not only many future games, but also the game console itself. And at the same time, he expressed confidence in the Xbox Series X and the games that are being developed for him.
«We can demonstrate the hardware advantages of our decoder. I am confident in the family of our games, as well as the exclusive content that we will show in July. We have gathered a lot of comments about our past event and I think people will like what they see soon. In developing the Xbox Series X, we are truly guided by the wishes of players. We want the power of the console to be predictable and easily adapt to the needs of game developers, ”commented Spencer.
He also acknowledged that the visual transition to a new generation of games is unlikely to be as noticeable as when moving from 2D to 3D (he said the exact opposite before). But on the other hand, Spencer noted that all the problems that previously prevented a total immersion in the game world - long downloads, long delays, etc. - will be solved in the new generation.
Regarding the exclusives that Microsoft can oppose to the content displayed by Sony for its PlayStation, the head of Xbox noted that the company's task is to repeat the same powerful program. He said he was proud of what was being created in the field of Xbox Game Studios and added that high hopes would be placed in the internal development studios.
Spencer added that the popularity of the Xbox Game Pass makes it easier for Microsoft to attract developers and publishers to participate in this program. He also recalled the importance of the Xbox All Access program.
''The Xbox All Access subscription program is very important now and will be important for the launch of the Xbox Series X. We received positive feedback about it. With the new prefix, we will use it even more actively. "I think that, taking into account the current economic situation, the program will become even more important, as it eliminates the need for large initial costs, except for the purchase of the console itself".
