Robert Downey Jr. to produce series based on DC Comics

Robert Downey Jr. is exchanging his Marvel Iron Man armor for a production by rival publisher DC Comics.
The star and his wife Susan Downey will produce a live-action adaptation of “Sweet Tooth”, comics originally published by Vertigo, a long-time adult line from DC. Conceived as an 8-chapter miniseries, the attraction will be launched on Netflix.
"Sweet Tooth" has already defined its cast. Will Forte (“The Last Face on Earth”), Nonso Anozie (“Zoo”), Adeel Akhtar (“Utopia”) and the boy Christian Convery (“Descendants 3”) will be the protagonists of the series, while veteran James Brolin (“ Life in Pieces ”), father of Josh Brolin (Thanos), will be in charge of narrating the episodes.
The series had 40 editions published in comics between 2009 and 2013, all written by Jeff Lemire.
The official synopsis of the adaptation is as follows:
“After being raised in total isolation, Gus - a boy born with deer horns - is abandoned in American territory devastated a decade earlier by an unexplained pandemic. Even more remarkable is that Gus is part of a rare new breed of hybrid human-animal children that emerged after the outbreak, all apparently immune to infection. He meets Jepperd, a violent and bulky bum who decides to protect him and promises to take him to “The Preserve”, a famous haven for hybrid children. But along the way, the two will face scientific militias, chaos survivors, bounty hunters and apocalyptic sects, as they struggle to stay safe and solve the mysteries of this deadly new frontier. ”
There is no preview for the debut.
