Galaxy Note 20+ to feature a 108 MP camera, tackle focusing issues with new hardware

The Galaxy S20 Ultra may flaunt some impressive camera hardware but the effectiveness of its 108 MP sensor has been hampered by focusing issues. Reportedly, the Galaxy Note 20+ will also sport that same sensor, but with new hardware to improve focusing.
The Galaxy Note 20 phones will be launched sometime in August, and more details of the phones are now surfacing. According to the latest leak by popular leakster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Note 20+ will also use a 108 MP sensor, like the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
In fact, the sensor on the Note 20+ is said to be the same one on the Galaxy S20 Ultra: The ISOCELL Bright HM1 with a 1/1.33" sensor size, 0.8μm pixel size, and 9-to-1 pixel binning "Nonacell" technology.
The 108 MP sensor on the Galaxy S20 Ultra has been panned for its poor autofocus abilities. Most expected Samsung to fix that issue with software updates but that hasn't been possible as the issue is due to hardware limitations imposed by such a sensor. To tackle that problem, Samsung will supposedly use new hardware. The source claims the company will implement a new sensor to aid with focusing, eliminating the problem.
It's interesting to note that the phone in question is specified to be the Note 20+. It's likely that the regular Note 20 doesn't offer a 108 MP sensor but opts for the 12 MP sensor used on the S20 and S20+. That's hardly a bad thing, though, as the 12 MP sensor is still very capable.
