CANNODALE

Brand launches gravel line Topstone and new Scapel

In times of pandemic, in which many people are already weeks without pedaling, launches of cool bikes are a breath, even to dream awake. Cannondale announced the New Scapel and gravel Topstone line, with three models. The forecast of arrival on the market of models is September. Topstone Lefty is Slate's heir, with new Lefty Oliver, singlecrown fork designed for gravel terrain, with 30 mm stroke. The lefty Oliver runs on the same needle bearing system as Lefty Ocho from XC and has an easy-to-use latch with decompression valve to absorb impacts. The lefty Oliver has a new tool-free brake mount, called StopLock Brake Mount, designed for Calipers Flat Mount, which facilitates and accelerates the removal of the front wheel. The bike comes with ultralight KingPin rear suspension and wider 650b wheels.
Prices range between $4,173 (Topstone Carbon 5) and $10,812 (Topstone Neo Carbon 3 Lefty 650b)
The other novelty is the electric gravel, an inescapable trend. With assisted pedaling, Neo Carbon and Neo Carbon Lefty come with Bosch engine. The Topstone Neo Carbon is available in two frame and fork configurations: a version with 700c wheels and hard carbon fork and a version with 650b wheels with the new Lefty Oliver and Kingpin suspension on the rear.
Topstone carbon Lefty will arrive in Brazil with unisex geometry with the New Shimano GRX group. Topstone Neo Carbon will have two models, a version with the new Lefty Oliver and 650b wheels and another with 700c wheels and rigid fork.

On the last 21 day, the brand also launched the new Scapel. The high-performance bike maintains the innovative suspension, aggressive geometry follows as one of the lightest full suspension mountain bikes on the market - the high-Mod carbon m frame weighs only 1900 grams. Cannondale has perfected the FlexPivot, patented rear scale built with the most advanced carbon fiber, forming a Horst-link pivot, lighter and stiffer than bearings, without the need for maintenance. The FlexPivot works in tune with the rear shock to absorb impacts and allows the suspension of the bike to be adjusted in a personalized way.
In terms of geometry, the rear of the bike, with Ai deviation from Cannondale, features large tires of 2.4", with short chainstays. The front tube angle a degree and a half more relaxed and with the seat tube angle a degree steeper compared to the previous model, in combination with Lefty's 55mm front axle displacement, brings more stability and reliability.
The Scalpel SE version has a stroke of 120 mm (front and rear), leaving the bike even more slack, with tires of 29 inches with greater volume and a retractable seat.
With prices ranging from $10,270 on SE1 to $13,812 on HM 1.The Scalpel SE
