Company sells smartphones without Google applications

After the Chinese technology giant EUAA Huawei began selling a folding smartphone without Google applications or processors made in the United States, after sanctions imposed by the United States government. The Mate X model is sold from this Friday at Huawei's online store in China at a price of 16,999 yuan (us $ 2,422) and competes with Samsung's Galaxy Fold, released in September.
Huawei Technologies seeks to preserve its business, following the controls imposed by the United States in May on the sale of American components and technology to the company, which according to Washington are a security risk.
Mate X uses Huawei's Kirin 980 and Balong 5000 chips and Chinese alternatives for music services, maps and other Google services. The Chinese company has not yet announced plans to sell the model outside China.
