Pixel 4 XL New Renders Showcase Triple Tear Cameras and Thick Bezels
All big giants including Samsung, Huawei, Apple, Google, and Sony are gearing to announce the top flagships in the next few months. Samsung will take the stage in August to unveil the Galaxy Note 10 series at the next Unpacked event. Like always Apple will be showcasing the new iPhones in September. Sony will debut the new flagship phone at the IFA 2019 event. Google and Huawei are among the last to unveil new phones in October. It is almost confirmed Google will announce Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL later this year.
Last month the well-known tipster OnLeaks joins hand with Pricebaba to release the first renders of Pixel 4. Ahead of the official announcement Google releases the first teaser image of Pixel 4 which confirms the square camera setup at the top left corner. Today OnLeaks releases the 5K renders of Pixel 4 XL in collaboration with Pricebaba.
As expected the Pixel 4 XL shares design aesthetics with the standard Pixel 4. The first prominent difference is slightly slim bezel at the bottom as opposed to the Pixel 4. Being the XL variant it features a slightly larger 6.25-inches display. The thick top bezel is used for the dual selfie snappers and a couple of other sensors.
The chassis is made of aluminum with glass covering the rear side. Google usually opted for dual-tone design for the Pixel phones but that's not the case with the Pixel 4 series. The Pixel 4 XL has triple cameras on the rear side with dual LED flashlight. The cameras setup is enclosed in a square box at the top left corner.
Alongside the primary cameras, the secondary snapper is expected to be a telephoto module with optical zoom. However, the third sensor details are still in the dark. The volume controllers and the power button are on the right edge. For connectivity, the USB Type-C is on the bottom edge. Unlike its predecessor, it lacks the front-facing speakers. The bottom bezel has dual speakers, it lacks the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pixel 4 XL Specs
Most of the details on the Pixel 4 XL specs are in the dark. Being the premium flagship it will be running on the Qualcomm's latest best Snapdragon 855 SoC straight out of the box. The Octa-core chipset will be accompanied with 6GB RAM.
It is good to see Google finally opting 6GB RAM which will certainly solve the RAM management issues of the predecessor. The upcoming Pixel phones will be running on the Android Q. In terms of color options, the Pixel 4 XL is expected to be available in a new "Mint Green" color.
